FLIGHTS
We recommend flying into either Porto (OPO) or Lisbon (LIS), depending on your preferred route, availability, and budget.
Porto (OPO) – Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport
This is the closest airport to the wedding venue, located about 20 minutes from Palácio do Freixo by car. Many major airlines offer nonstop or one-stop flights to Porto, including TAP Air Portugal, Lufthansa, British Airways, Delta, and United.
Lisbon (LIS) – Humberto Delgado Airport
Lisbon is Portugal’s largest international hub and often has more flight options and competitive fares. From Lisbon, Porto is approximately:

Upon Arrival in Porto
After landing at Porto Airport, proceed through immigration and collect your baggage. The airport offers free Wi-Fi, so you can easily arrange transportation to your hotel or the venue.

Uber / Bolt: Both services operate in Porto. Open your app and follow instructions for the designated pickup area.

Taxis: Available just outside the arrivals terminal. Most accept credit cards, but it’s wise to have some cash in Euros.

Metro: The purple metro line (E) connects the airport to the city center in about 30 minutes. This is a great option if you’re staying downtown.

We recommend staying in or near Porto city center for the most convenient and enjoyable experience during the wedding weekend.
Our venue, Palácio do Freixo, is located along the Douro River — just about 20 minutes from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) and a short ride from most central hotels. Once you arrive, Uber, taxis, metro, and buses are all easily accessible from the airport and around the city.
Below are a few hotels we’ve personally reviewed and recommended, but there are also plenty of lovely Airbnbs and boutique stays throughout the city if you prefer something more private or unique.
